Okay....as if you need any more rumors, we did talk to our friend in Ethiopia that works in adoption. She said that no decisions have been made at all....just talk! The fact that your dossier is there is huge. That is all we know. Plus if you look up joint councel they have a petition to sign that will go straight to the ministry.

Wish we could fix it all....I am praying! Keep your chin up we know how hard this is but it will all be worth it.

ok- so I am sure you heard from your agency as well, but wanted to pass on what we heard from ours today they have people working there on this for the past 2 weeks and still no sign of the huge slow down they were calling for originally..and while it is always a possibility offices in country are saying the need is so great that MOWA's crack down would never stand. So taken with a grain of salt and a wing and a prayer- but I was pleased with the email and thought I'd share the glimmer.. oh we work with WHFC...glad to see you are still here!

Hi Anne,
Hope you don't mind me taking a peek at your blog. Your great comment followed mine on "Sticky Mango Feet". Damn... so sorry another one is on this long, crappy road. We have been at this for 4.5 years now; started with Taiwan, pulled out when it basically closed it's doors, had our application ready to go with Nepal, watched closely at it's demise (so sorry for you, families, and children there!), then on to Ethiopia. I also agree with "feeling her/him" - totally get that. I second what you mentioned about appreciating having this "web family" when things are tough. Not many people in our inner circle can relate to the range of emotions we can experience after last week's news. And on a side note (as I peeked at your past blog entries), we moved down from Portland, though were a 1/2 an inch from moving to your area! Pretty jealous of you as we do have some regrets. Anyhow, hold on. As gloom-and-doom that I often feel, deep down inside I feel it will eventually happen for all of us!

Hey Anne! Jen, here. We lived in Portland, though almost moved to Bend (just enough out of the rain), but ended up moving to Utah in the final hour. Not sure if you live in OR of CO? Anyhow, glad to get to know you, too!
